San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) is proud to mark a significant milestone—three years of passenger service with Breeze Airways. Since August 4, 2022, Breeze has delivered unmatched convenience to the Inland Empire, offering nonstop flights to both San Francisco (SFO) and Provo (PVU)—destinations that had long been underserved from our region.

A New Era of Connectivity for the Inland Empire

Before Breeze’s arrival, residents of the Inland Empire faced limited options and long drives to LAX or Ontario. Breeze changed that narrative. By providing direct access to San Francisco’s tech and culture hub and to Provo—gateway to Utah’s stunning ski resorts and Brigham Young University—SBD now offers meaningful, affordable air travel where it was most needed.

Unbeatable Value: $5-A-Day Parking

One of SBD’s most popular perks continues to be its on-airport parking—just $5 per day, saving drivers from time-consuming transfers and high-priced lots elsewhere. It’s this thoughtfulness—from accessibility to affordability—that has won heartfelt appreciation from travelers.

Breeze to the Bay and Beyond

  • San Francisco (SFO): A nonstop lifeline to California’s financial, cultural, and innovation heartland. Breeze kicked off these daily flights in August 2022, delivering swift, nonstop service that residents had long been waiting for.
  • Provo (PVU): Introduced in early 2025, this new nonstop route gives locals access to winter getaways, family visits, and the vibrant community of northern Utah.

Serving a Traditionally Underserved Region

Breeze Airways was built on a promise: connect cities that needs it the most. Their model focuses on point-to-point routes bypassing major hubs, especially linking underserved airports. SBD and the Inland Empire residents can finally skip the long drives and expensive alternatives for an airport without the hassle or high cost.

How We Celebrated: Cruising at Altitude Concert

To commemorate this milestone, SBD invited the community to Cruising at Altitude, a spectacular concert that was held on October 18 right on the tarmac by the terminal. This event was a spotlight of our World-Famous 737 Plane Stage and delivered an unforgettable evening of live music, headlined by Fortunate Youth, along with local food, and memorable moments—echoing the spirit of past launch events like “Ready for Takeoff,” which first welcomed Breeze’s entry three years ago.

Flying Into the Future

From its affordable parking to its nonstop service to San Francisco and Provo, SBD has become a vital gateway for Inland Empire travelers. As we celebrate three years of partnership with Breeze Airways, we’re proud to look back at how far we’ve come—and even more excited about where we’re headed.

Thank you for flying local, supporting SBD, and helping us continue to soar. Here’s to many more years of growth, convenience, and community.
